Murree also known as “Queen of Hills” is one of the most popular tourist resorts in northern Pakistan. This thriving summer resort is just an hour drive from the Capital of Pakistan, Islamabad. Visiting Notes and places to Visit
The Best time to visit is from May to November. Nearest spots to visit are Kashmir & Pindi points. Breakfast at hotel. To walk at Mall road in free time and to visit Kashmir & Pindi points are familiar activities of visitors. At Pindi point you have an option to ride on the chair lift. There is an amazing view down the hills toward Islamabad & Rawalpindi. Kashmir point offers you a unique combination of nature and beauty. Well wooded pine forests with chirping birds are ready to welcome you. There is a 5km hiking track from Kashmir point down to military dairy farms offering you closer view of trees, plants, birds and animals. But if you are young, you will probably want to spend more time at Mall Road. As the night falls the life at Mall Road becomes more active and you can find every thing you want to enjoy and to eat.more

The people of Murree are strong, brave and hospitable. These mountaneous people are now mostly engaged in business in Murree city and governoment jobs in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. History
The city of Murree was founded by Britishers, but for how long was the area had been populated is still unknown. Before the attack of Alexander in India the area was under the Rule of Raja Ambi and came under the rule of Muslim Mughals in sixteenth century. In 1832 the area came under the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The local Abbasis (Dhonds) believe that they belong from the offsets of Hazarat Abbas.more

Tomb of Virgin Mary in Murree
Among various fascinating legends connected with the popular tourist resort of Murree, self-styled as 'Queen of the Hills' in Pakistan, is a unique one about the tomb of Virgin Mary. Believe it or not, but some claim that located on a peaceful Murree hilltop, is the very site thought to be the final abode or resting place of the Mother of Isa (AS) or Jesus Christ - better known to Muslims as Hazrat Marium (AS). The site has been maintained and honoured as far back as anyone can remember. Its importance can be judged from the fact that the surrounding country is named after the supposed gravesite.more
